Turmoil is a great ole man who fell on hard times and was seemingly lost threw the cracks. He spent a good amount of time hanging out in the committee where I occassionally stopped by to spend some one on one time with this gentle soul. Even though I tried to distance myself from him he slowly wormed his way into the heart of my head trainer Keith.
After many dropped hints left at all the right moments by Keith it was decided that Turmoil would be brought home to our farm to enjoy the retirement he deserved. We spent 2 days prepping a stall and even added an outdoor run off his stall so he could spend his days hanging about watching the goings on at the farm. He has his own 4 acre lush green pasture where he can kick up his heels and enjoy the late afternoon sunshine.
We were not sure who would be assigned the job of Groom/Handler/Playmate for Turmoil but after bringing him home it quickly became clear that that job would fall to non other than our head trainer. While Keith has many duties at the farm he always seems to find time to visit his ole buddy for a quick snack and some scratches. He has even taken time after all the chores are done in the evenings to take Turmoil for a walk around the farm or even some leisurely bareback rides around the paddocks. It seems that those two truely were ment for each other.
