Sky came to us after a freak accident left her fearful and aggressive. While Sky really doesnt want to hurt anyone her past experience has left her defensive and easily spooked. With calm and gentle handling she has slowly come around. She can still be quick to react in unfamiliar situations but she has learned to trust her groom and handler.
We had plans to try this long legged beauty as a hunter but have decided to let her live the relaxed life of a broodmare for awhile. She needs to learn how to trust and be a horse again before we push her to compete if we ever get that far.
Sky's Sire won the Breeders' Cup Classic-G1 as well as many other Grade Stakes Races. He was named Champion 3-Year-Old Colt, Champion Older Horse at age 4, Champion Older Horse and Horse of the Year at age 5 as well as 2nd highest earnings N.A.
