2006 Breeder Cup Notes:
Although DS Scorpion's last three starts were nothing to celebrate, she still boasts one of the most impressive records in the Distaff field. She began the year on turf with a win in the Sunshine Millions Filly & Mare Turf, and after two more seconds and a win on the turf, transitioned seamlessly onto dirt with a second in the Delaware Handicap (G2). She then went on to beat the boys impressively in the Grade 1 Pacific Classic, defeating several Classic starters including WT Zenith, SS Unimatrix Zero, The Prophet, and Tall Tellin'. Her last win was in the first Waxing Moon Stakes over Flamin' Desire. She has proven herself on all surfaces, all distances, and against extremely tough competition, and is definately one of the Distaff headliners.
