I saw this mare at a Ranch Dispersal Sale. I walked by her a few times and just couldnt get her out of my head. He bloodlines scream Racing AQHA with her parents both having raced successfully. When the bidding started and this mare was led into the ring I once again found myself admiring her beauty. The bidding on her was low, noone was looking for racing quarter horses they were after the working western stock so I tossed in a bid. Much to my surprise we won and she was loaded into our trailer for the return trip to the ranch.
Shenzie is a very sweet mare who craves attention and interaction with people. She will be trying her hand at the low levels of reining in the future. But her main job on the ranch is going to be our Racing Broodmare. Shenzie raced as a 2 year old but not much is known about that.
