Platinum is a big ruggedly built colt with a nice heavy bone structure and good muscling. He has an easy ground covering stride and the heart of a champion. While everything about this colt seems perfect he does have one vice which will send any of our barn cats running. It seems as a young foal Platinum learned he could make a game out of chasing barn cats. While we dont think he wants to hurt them hes alittle to rough with them and has resulted in a few broken bones.
Platinums sire IHF Golden Emblem proved his ability in many races with the most notable being a 2nd in the Kentucky Derby. This was folled by a 3rd in the Preakness and a 3rd in the Belmont. He also went on to Win the Prioress S (gr. I) and run a close 2nd in the Breeders Cup 2,000,000 Starlight Stables Mile.
Platinums dam Mindy Mae sadly missed her chance at racing but with her pedigree we know shes desitined to produce great runners.
